I am considering purchasing a car that was bought at an auto auction by a reputable car dealer. It has a good price, a clear title, and a perfect Carfax report.
It seems like a great car, but I wonder why it was at the auction? It is a Toyota, and they are usually great cars to buy and sell…. so I’m rather suspicious.
Can someone tell me why cars end up there, and if cars there can be okay cars?
I am saving up for a more fuel efficient car under 00. I am staying away from Toyota. I am looking for something nice and fun but great on gas. Any suggestions?

I dont necessarily want to go to the auction. What i meant was.. If you are a toyota dealer you would not be interested to buy a jeep. But if i guarantee you that i will buy a jeep if you win it off from the auction, well I will be a one extra customer for you.

i am buying my first car and i have a budget of about ,000. i want a new good reliable car. i want the car to have some good features as well. i have check hyundai elantra, toyota yaris, honda civic and mazda mazda3. the honda civic basic ones dont have even air conditioning which is stupid but what are some good cheap cars?

I dont want stupid answers, nothing from suzuki or toyota (only good car between BOTH of them is the Supra). Nothing like "oh get a junker because anyone that has a car as a teen is cool."no. Just real answers please. Something that YOU would realistically have liked as a teenager, no parent answers that only talk about safety either.
I drove a 2004 Toyota Corrolla while in Florida and if there was any type if wind it was flying all over the place it was built so light.
My friend had a 2000 Toyota Camry and had to get rid of it because the engine needed to be replaced because it wasn’t installed correctly out of the plant. The accelerator stuck so you could be accelerating too go on to the freeway but you’d have to lay off the accelerator for a while so it would unstick. Very dangerous. Now wonder why they got sued for using cheap parts!

Just wanted to know if these auctions what car dealers conduct is it another sales gimmick to lure customers to there door step ?
